Whilst its's cold and wet - Why not try Indoor Short Mat Bowls

Short Mat bowling is held in our Clubhouse every Friday from 2 - 4 p.m. It is £3 per session (try the first time for free) which includes tea and biscuits.

You don't need to be a member and don't need to commit to every week. It's suitable for all ages and abilities. Brighten up these gloomy winter days. and have a go!

Green maintainence
 
Greenkeeper Garry and his team of volunteers, spent endless hours (with a few well deserved tea breaks) getting the Green ready for the 2026 season. There was lots of technical machinery involved, along with seeding and autumn feeding  - well done all, much appreciated.

Byfield Bowls Club is very fortunate having an excellent six-rink outdoor green. The Clubhouse in the Russell Pavilion has both ladies and men’s changing rooms, a spacious function room, a bar and a balcony with amazing views overlooking the sports ground and church.

We are often envied by other visiting clubs because of our scenic position in a quintessential English village.
